Instructional Technology Portfolio

Profile photo of Brian Spradlin Welcome to my Instructional Technology Digital Portfolio! The purpose of this portfolio is to demonstrate what I have learned in the course of my work with the University of Nebraska at Kearney Instructional Technology Master's program.

In my present career I have had a few opportunities to teach others how to use various technologies. As I continued to present short training workshops and longer courses at the local community college I began to realize that I enjoyed the work I was doing to help others understand topics that often seemed mysterious to someone just getting started. I began work on my Master's Degree soon after in order to begin developing well-rounded courses using the technologies that I often found myself teaching others about.

About This Website

The contents of this site represent a sample of the accumulated work and knowledge I have acquired in the past six years. Most of the content was from direct assignments within my courswork, but some came from direct exerience in my daily work and opportunities outside of my normal 8-5 career.

The goal of this site is to give visitors a general idea of my skill set and knowledge base in the field of Instructional Technology. But the long-term goal is to continue learning and continue adding to this site as my skills continue to grow.

The fifth point in the iste NETS-T standards is to "Engage in Professional Growth and Leadership." Every course in my Master's program has been a direct match to this point. However, even though I complete my course work soon, I will continue to improve my skills and knowledge from outside sources through the rest of my career. I look forward to forever learning!
