Self-Assessment

I feel that the attached artifact is a good representation of my new understanding of the Copyright process and how it should be properly used when creating and using materials in course development.

This ties into NETS standard 5-c and 5-d, Professional Growth and Leadership. This is a reflection of what I've learned about the copyright issues that all content developers should know.

I don't feel that there is much I would do differently if I were to create this presentation again. The information it presents is still valid, and is important for people to know. The only changes might be to expand some sections based on the audiences I would be presenting to.

I learned a great deal more about Copyright in generating this presentation than I had before. I was aware of the need to have permission from a copyright owner before reproducing content, but the aspects of fair-use and copyright length were new to me.

Content Explanation

The attached presentation is a distillation of what was learned about Copyright and Fair Use in the TE 868 course. It presents a viewer with bullet-point topics and information that would be useful to them as they develop content for others in the world to use. It was created as an assignment for the TE 868 class. The information presented in the artifact has a direct link to all the other artifacts, as any use of existing materials in research come under the current copyright guidelines.

Process Reflection

This presentation was created to fulfill a class assignment, and was developed using the tools in PowerPoint.
